Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state, Godwin Ogorugba, has commended the executive of the Otibio ward 13 of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) for promoting unity and expanding the party’s membership adding that true unity can only thrive when it is built on sincerity.

Ogorugba who gave the commendation Friday while receiving the ward Exco, led by its chairman, Peter Onaibre, on a courtesy visit at his office in Ozoro, headquarters of the council, reflected on past experiences, stating that he holds no grudges against anyone, as his primary concern remains the progress and development of Otibio ward.

“It is better to unite and move forward rather than dwell on the past and waste valuable time. Our ward may be small, but God has blessed us, and we must extend that blessing to every level within the ward.”, and emphasized the need for visible developmental efforts that benefit not just Otibio but the entire local government.

“Our people should be able to see the tangible impact of leadership, not just in our ward but across all the areas we serve. Governance is for everyone, not just a select few. I want to commend the dedication of the ward Exco. Let me also reaffirm my commitment to peace and unity, internal harmony is crucial for the party’s success.

“It is only through unity that we can successfully deliver our party candidates at various levels. Peace and cohesion must be upheld, and decisions should not be based on hearsay and gossip- I do not operate that way,” Ogorugba stated.

In his remarks, the Ward chairman, Peter Onaibre, expressed gratitude to the council chairman for his contributions to infrastructural development and education in Isoko North.

“I sincerely appreciate your remarkable strides in infrastructure and human capital development. Recently, you facilitated the enrollment of all Primary Six pupils in Isoko North for their examinations- a groundbreaking initiative that has significantly reduced the burden on parents,”Onaibre said.
