Thugs Disrupt Voting at ADC Candidate Najeem Salaam’s Polling Unit in Osun

Thugs reportedly disrupted voting at the polling unit of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Najeem Salaam, in Ward 4, Unit 13, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, during Saturday’s election.

Salaam condemned the incident, describing it as a deliberate attack aimed at disrupting voting and threatening the integrity of the electoral process.

The former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly also criticised the security personnel deployed to the polling unit, alleging that they failed to respond promptly to the disturbance.

“How could we differentiate this from military rule when people’s votes don’t count?” Salaam asked.

He called for an immediate investigation into the incident and urged security agencies to remain impartial and responsive throughout the election.

“This is not an election; this is a selection,” he said, urging political parties and their supporters to shun violence and allow voters to freely choose their leaders.
