Wife of Isoko South Chairman Donates Food Items to Elderly Persons to Celebrate Christmas

The wife of Isoko South Local Government Area chairman of Delta, Mrs Abigail Warri on Tuesday showered the elderly persons with food items to celebrate the Christmas, in pure demonstration of love and care for the elderly persons.

Over a hundred elderly persons across the local government gatheree at the Otobo hall, council secretariat, Oleh to receive bountiful packages from the chairperson of Isoko South in a colorful and exciting event.

Speaking during the event, Mrs Warri, said, “It’s only right the aged mothers in the society are supported and cared for, especially during this festive season of love. Our mothers, women are pillars in their various wards.”

The chairperson, who brought a special message from the wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, thanked and commended Delta State women, wishing all the best of the festive season.

Mrs. Warri, while acknowledging and passionately appreciating her husband, chairman of Isoko South, Friday Ovoke Warri, fondly known as “Warri 4 Your Worries”, for his continuous support, leadership, and commitment to improving the lives of the people of Isoko South, prayed God to continue to guide and bestow him the wisdom of Solomon to pilot the affairs of the council in the remaining years in office.

According to the chairman’s wife, “The gathering wasn’t just an event but a time to spread love ahead of the Christmas celebrations. Today’s gathering is not just an event; it is an act of love, care, and responsibility. This food distribution program is a gesture to remind our mothers and elderly women that you are seen, you are valued, and you are not forgotten. Many of you have labored for families, communities, and society, and it is only right that we support and care for you in your later years. This is just one of many efforts we will continue to make towards your well-being.

“I sincerely appreciate our local government women leaders and ward women leaders for your dedication, mobilization, and support. You are pillars in your various wards, constantly working to keep our women united and informed. May God bless you richly. I want to thank every woman here today for your patience, love, prayers, and continuous support. May God bless you, strengthen you, and grant you long life in good health and peace. As we share these items, may they bring comfort and joy to your homes.Once again,” she said.

Mrs. Warri, took turns to dance with the aged mothers, with several goodwill messages and words of encouragement from notable individuals including Mrs. Eloho Oziwele, and with heartfelt comments and appreciations from the beneficiaries.

Responding on behalf of the woman, Mrs. Abalaba thanked the chairperson and the management of the Isoko South local government area for the love shown them ahead of the christmas celebrations, saying the gift items will help in reducing their pains.

Some of the items distributed include bags of rice, beans, groundnut oil, cash gifts and among others.
