BREAKING: NDDC’s Acting Executive Director Of Finance Feared Dead Amid Forensic Audit, ‘N40b’ Probe
Chief Ibanga Bassey Etang, the Acting Executive Director of Finance of the Niger Delta Development Commission, has been reported dead.
Report says the Acting Director died on Thursday amidst the Forensic Audit of the Commission ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari and probe of alleged financial misappropriation by the present Interim Management Committee of NDDC by National Assembly.
Investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, confirmed the development on his Twitter handle on Thursday.
Soyombo tweeted: “Sources are saying this death isn’t ordinary and that they suspect food poisoning.
“His body has been wheeled to the ‘Holding Area’, called ‘COVID-19 Area’, of Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, Port Harcourt. Whatever the intention is, we’ll find out soon.”
