JUST IN: Omo-Agege Beats Ekweremadu To Emerge Deputy Senate President

Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central senatorial district has emerged as the Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian Senate.

Omo-Agege defeated Senator Ike Ekweremadu who was surprisingly nominated to occupied the seat for three times.

The Delta Senator polled 68 to beat his main challenger Ekweremadu, who got 39 votes.

Ekweremadu who represents Enugu-West senatorial district was deputy senate president from 2007-2011, 2011-2015 and 2015-2019.
