The Appeal Committee for the ward and local government congresses of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State has reportedly over ruled Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Chief Great Ogboru on the ‘unity list’ of delegates used for the ward and local government congresses in the state.

This is coming as the Appeal Panel led by its chairman, Barr. Folajimi Olasehinde upheld the ‘harmonization list’ as the authentic and only recognized list for delegates for the congresses.

BigPen Online learnt that same ‘unity list’ which had been upheld will be used for the State Congress on Saturday, this week.

Dependable sources at the national headquarters of the party said the panel also dismissed the earlier results allegedly announced by the sacked chairman of the state congress committee, Alhaji Sani Dododo.

In a report submitted by the Appeal Panel led by its chairman, Barr. Folajimi Olasehinde, Dubem Moghalu (Secretary ) and Aminu Abubakar ( Member ) to the National leadership of the party, it was learnt that the panel decision was based on evidences provided to the panel.

It was learnt that based on the decision of the panel, the endorsed ‘unity list’ would be use by the state congress committee to conduct the state congress to elect state officials of the party.

The panel committee however rectified the ward and local government congresses held in Delta state based on the result submitted by Hon. Emmanuel Chindah’s led committee and forward same to the NWC of the party.

“Ahead of this Saturday State congress in Delta State, the Appeal Panel headed by Barr. Folajimi Olasehinde has submitted their report. From the report we sighted on Wednesday in APC headquarters in Abuja, the NWC only recognized the ‘unity list from Delta state’.

“In this case, it is the unity list that will form the delegates that will elect the state executive at the Saturday congress. The Panel also held that Dododo having been removed as chairman has no legal backing to conduct any congress in the state. The Chief Chindah-led committee is the only properly authorized committee to conduct the LG congresses in Delta State.”

With the development, the panel committee and NWC may have over ruled the alleged ‘parallel congresses’ held by the Chief Great Ogboru/Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s bloc of the party in Delta state.
