Tompolo’s Former Secondary School Teacher Hails Tinubu, NNPCL Over Pipeline Contract Renewal

Princess (Mrs.) Christy Ichofu, a former secondary school teacher of the chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo (Tompolo), has commended the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and management of Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPCL) for heeding to voices of reason by renewing the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to Tantita.

Ichofu, who is the immediate past Woman Leader of HOSTCOM in Isoko North LGA from the great oil-producing community of Ozoro Kingdom, said that the renewal was a well-deserved recognition of Tantita’s impactful role in curbing oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and illegal refining activities across the Niger Delta.

The media veteran said Tompolo’s Tantita has made a great stride in stabilizing the nation’s oil economy and have been doing more to sustain the tempo.

“It is evident that these efforts have contributed significantly to improved oil production and strengthened economic stability”, she added.

She, however urged all stakeholders and host communities in the Niger Delta to continue supporting Tantita’s operations, as sustained collaboration remains essential for lasting peace, security, and development in the region.

Princess Ichofu who said she taught Tompolo at Essi College, Warri in his secondary school days, urged the Niger Delta leader to build on the gain secured with the surveillance contract to boost the nation’s economy and advance more development to the region.

“As your former form teacher, I take immense pride in your journey and accomplishments. Your courage, discipline, and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta have remained consistent over the years.

“You have displayed admirable leadership qualities even as a student, and it is truly gratifying to see those qualities reflected in your achievements today.

“I urged you to build on this achievement and ensure the Niger Delta is well placed as oil producing region and I congratulate once again, and I wish you continued success”, she wrote.
