Jonathan To Buhari: Implementing 2014 Confab Report Will Solve Nigeria’s Problems

Immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has advised his successor, President Munammadu Buhari to implement the 2014 confab report, insisting that it will go a long way in solving so many of the problems that Nigeria is facing.
This, he said even as he lament not being able to implement it because of time constraint, he encouraged the President to use the report because it outlined in details the panacea for the progress of the country.
Jonathan in a statement by his Media Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze reiterated in the message that the 2014 confab report holds the key “to reshaping and consolidating the necessary grounds and shared values, needed to move the nation forward” stating that it held answers to most of what Nigerians are agitating for today.
According to the statement, the former president said, “It was a conference designed to shape our future. Its outcome was meant to be of benefit to the future generations of Nigerians. I believe that those entrusted with responsibilities to formulate policies or make laws should take the kind that should take the kind that outlives them, not the ones designed to deliver instant profits to them”.
“it was obvious that my administration given the time the report was submitted couldn’t have implemented the report before the 2015 elections without running into ethical questions”, he said.
