Nigerian-Born Founder Launches WillsRecord, World’s First AI Music Economy Platform

Nigerian-born tech entrepreneur, Festus Atu Otabor, has launched WillsRecord™ (www.willsrecord.com), an AI-powered platform that merges music creation, streaming, distribution and monetization into one ecosystem.
Announcing the launch in October 2026 from Silicon Valley, California, Otabor described WillsRecord as the world’s first AI Music Economy Ecosystem.
The company, legally established in both the United States and Nigeria, operates from Silicon Valley while maintaining deep roots in Nigeria and Africa’s fast-growing creative technology space.
“Africa has given the world some of its most loved music. I want Africa to also help build the technology and the economy behind it,” said Otabor, Founder and CEO of WillsRecord Inc.
“WillsRecord is designed so that a songwriter in Lagos, a student in Abuja or a producer in Nairobi can take an idea to a finished, distributed and earning song, all in one place.”
According to the company, unlike existing platforms that focus on just one part of the music chain, WillsRecord integrates the entire journey.
Its features include AI lyrics writing and song creation, AI voice cloning and beat modelling, AI mixing and mastering, track separation technology, video synchronization, a digital song vault, global distribution, creator monetization, enterprise APIs and the WillsCoin rewards ecosystem.
Industry analysts note that while tech giants are investing heavily in AI music, no single platform currently combines creation, streaming, discovery, distribution and rewards for both creators and listeners.
WillsRecord is also positioning itself as a platform where listeners can earn rewards through streaming, engagement and supporting creators, turning music consumption into a shared economy.
“Africa is no longer simply consuming innovation; it is creating it,” Otabor added, stating that the platform aims to open studio-grade tools to artists in Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, New York and beyond.
