Hold on Tightly to God, Dele Momodu tells Adeleke Ahead of 2026 Osun Poll ‎

Media personality and politician, Dele Momodu, has warned Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to remain vigilant ahead of the state’s governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

‎Momodu, in a message addressed to Adeleke, expressed concern over what he described as a possible attempt by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to influence the outcome of the election.

‎In the message titled “My Candid Message to Governor Ademola Adeleke,” Momodu alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may not conduct a free, fair and credible election in the state.

‎He further alleged that the APC-controlled federal government could use the Osun election as a “dress rehearsal” ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

‎Momodu said he had received warnings from individuals within the APC about possible developments during the election, urging Adeleke to prepare for what he described as “any eventuality.”

‎According to him, the alleged instruction to APC supporters was to secure control of Osun State “by any means necessary,” a claim he did not substantiate with specific evidence.

‎The former presidential aspirant, however, urged Adeleke to remain steadfast and continue to rely on his faith, while commending the governor for what he described as his administration’s achievements in the state.

‎“Please, hold on tightly to God as you’ve always been. We are proud of the uncommon work you’ve done, and doing,” Momodu said.

‎He also challenged the APC to campaign on its record in the state, arguing that the party had little to show in terms of past achievements.

‎The Osun governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026, with the outcome expected to determine whether Adeleke will retain the governorship or hand over power to a new administration.

‎Momodu’s comments come amid heightened political activities and preparations by political parties ahead of the poll.
