Warns against erection of illegal structures

The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has assured the Wood Dealers Association, Ozoro Branch, of his administration’s commitment to improving the business environment, while warning against the construction of unauthorized permanent structures within the market.

Ogorugba gave the assurance when the leadership of the association paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Thursday to present requests aimed at improving the operations of the wood market and addressing challenges confronting its members.

The council chairman said his administration would give careful consideration to the association’s requests in line with available resources, stressing that the welfare of traders and the development of markets across the local government remain key priorities of his administration.

Ogorugba however, condemned the erection of permanent structures without official approval within the market, warning that the council would not tolerate any form of illegal development capable of disrupting the market’s layout and operations.

Ogorugba urged traders and other market users to comply with the council’s regulations and work together to maintain a safe, orderly, and business-friendly environment.
