Be Christ-like, Shun Infighting over Denominations, Delta Council Boss Admonishes PFN Leadership
The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba has admonished executive and members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Isoko North Chapter to exemplify the body of Christ in unity.
The council chairman gave the admonition, on Wednesday while addressing the executive and members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Isoko North Chapter in his office, Ozoro.
He stated; “This is December, our precious month of Christmas where all Christians across the globe celebrates the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, irrespective of our church denominations.
“The names of different church denominations should not divide us but unite us the most as we all pray to God Almighty through Jesus Christ. Christians across the globe must reflect on the reason for the Christmas celebration, according to the Holy Bible (John 3v16) and let us be a practical example to one another by showing love, kindness and forgiveness as demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Mark 12vs 31)
“Sometimes I wonder and feel angry, why those who practice Christian religions fight themselves in the name of Church denominations, despite their titles as Arch Bishop, Bishop, Apostles, prophet, pastors, Evangelist, Deacon etc yet not practicing what they preach to their members, urging them to be more unite and speak in one voice to protect and defend the Christian Faith” Ogorugba admonished.
The council chairman however reiterated the need for unity among Christians leaders irrespective of the denominations, either Catholic, Anglican, Winners, Redeem, Mountain of fire, Dunamis, salvation ministry, Deeper life among others, under Pentecostal Fellowship Nigeria (PFN) Block, or Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Block, or ECWA block, adding, “According to Holy book (Gal. 3vs 26-28) we are one body through Jesus Christ, ( CHRISTIAN) why the division and fighting among us? The Christian leaders must act now as their members are looking up to them on daily basis.”
In his remarks, the newly elected chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Isoko North chapter, Bishop Edward Emeluereta appreciated the chairman for his Visionary leadership and his immeasurable support for Christian faith since assumption of office.
Bishop Emeluereta, also commended the council chairman for making the Christian faith proud saying all the Christians in Isoko North are happy with you sir, the people of Isoko nation are happy with you sir, be rest assured of our continuous support and prayers for you and your your administration.’
