Delta Council Chairman Urges Newly Sworn-In LG Secretary, Others to Take Appointment As Call To Service Only

Comrade Friday Ovoke Warri, Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area in Delta State, has urged newly sworn-in officials to view their appointments as a call to serve the people.

The chairman gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony of Zion Osuofa as Secretary to the Local Government and Mrs. Beauty Omu as Supervising Councillor representing Aviara ward 03 at his office Oleh, headquaters of the local government council.

Warri, while performing the exercise, emphasized his commitment to transparency and equitable distribution of democratic benefits.

According to him, “Warri for Your Worries” agenda aims to elevate living standards and promote peaceful coexistence, unity, and love among officials.

He noted that the agenda has now fully taken off even as he pledged to optimize efforts in elevating the living standards of the people and equitable distribution of democratic benefits.

The chairman however promised not to renege on his campaign promises to the people of Isoko South as his administration will continue to be gender friendly.

He cautioned Osuofa to foster harmonious relations between career officers and political appointees and work as one formidable team aimed at achieving his ‘Warri For Your Worries’ agenda and ‘MORE’ agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He expressed gratitude to the Delta State House of Assembly led by the speaker, Guwor Emomotimi for prompt screening and confirmation of Osuofa as secretary to the Isoko South local government.

Among those present at the ceremony were the Vice Chairman of the council, Theresa Ikrike, leader of the legislative arm, Friday Olokor, special adviser to the council chairman, Efe Philip Okolosi-Ozoro, Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Mrs. Iroro Mary Ofogbo, Isoko South PDP chairman, Victor Ekelegha, Delta state Assistant youth leader, Felix Aluta and Immediate past Isoko South PDP chairman, Godspower Obaro.
