Isoko North Boss Pledges to Continue With Open-door Policy, People-centered Programs

Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has said his Administration would continue to operate open door policies and initiate people oriented programs that will benefit the people.

Ogorugba made the disclosure Thursday while receiving the National Union of Isoko Students (NUIS) stakeholders who paid him a thank you visit in his office in Ozoro.

The council chairman while enumerating some of his achievements in office, disclosed that his administration has given approval for construction of a modern security gate house with dual lane facing the Southern Delta University Ozoro as well as rehabilitation of failed portion along Ozoro-Owhelogbo road close to the Rain oil filling station and construction of a Health center at Isi-Emevor, renovation of Okpe-Isoko market among others.

Ogorugba thanked the NUIS stakeholders for the thank you visit, saying that the Isoko students union body’s commendations will inspire him to do more for the people of Isoko North.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the NUIS stakeholders delegation, Ben Uzi, said they were in the council to thank the council chairman for his achievements in office and good leadership.

According to NUIS stakeholders delegation, they were perplexed with the laudable achievements recorded since assumption in office as Isoko North council chairman.

“Mr chairman we the stakeholders of National Union of Isoko students (NUIS) have been following you kennly on how the resources acruing to the local government is been judiciously used in infrastructural development, education, human capital development, basic amenities, health and peace and security. There is no Ward in Isoko North without impactful projects been executed, either completed or ongoing and we are proud of you and we are here to say thank you” he stated.

Uzi, emphasized that Isoko North council under the leadership of Ogorugba has transformed the council in all ramifications placing Isoko North among the best performing local government councils in the federal republic of Nigeria, adding that “As illustrious sons and daughters of Isoko nation, we must appreciate you and urge you not to relent in doing more to consolidating the MORE Agenda of His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of Delta State for Isoko North people.”

Some dignitaries present include, Vote Umukoro, Secretary to Isoko North LGA, Joshua Alebe supervisor for environment, Erero Oloku SA to the chairman, Fejiro Ogbogbo, Treasurer Isoko LGA, Enaroseha Eribo, Daniel Idoghor, Bendel Orumor, Spiro Odu, Ujerukevwe among others.
