Former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has ‘joined the Governor of Delta, the good people of Okpe kingdom and the entire Delta State in congratulating the Orodje of Okpe and Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council, HRM Major General Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I , on his well deserved installation as the pioneer Chancellor of the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State and his conferment of a Doctorate of Laws (LL.D) honoris causa’.

The former governor’s felicitation was conveyed in a statement by his Media Assistant, L. Monoyo Edon, on Sunday.

According to the statement, “upon receiving the news earlier today, Dr. Uduaghan thanked former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu for the successful installation of the monarch and opined that the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB) could not have nominated a worthy and well-deserving Nigerian to bestow the double honours.

He described the Orodje as a bridge-builder and consummate traditional leader who would bring his long years of military experience and pan Nigerian disposition to bear on his new role in service of Nigeria.

It would also be recalled that last year, former President Muhammadu Buhari conferred on the Orodje, the prestigious national honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) alongside other eminent Nigerians”, the statement said.
