Mr Bolaji Amusan, the President, Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), on Tuesday said movie remained the personal property of the film maker.

Amusan, popularly known as “Mr Latin”, said this at a news conference on the forthcoming 2021 Conference of Nigerian Arts and Films (CONAF) in Abeokuta.

He said CONAF 2021 with the theme entitled: “Film as a Tangible Asset”, would hold between Dec.15 and Dec. 18 in Abeokuta.

According to Amusan, the conference will focus on profit making for movie producers to excel in the industry.

Alhaji Tajudeen Olanrewaju, Chairman, CONAF 2021 Planning Committee, said about 5,000 theatre practitioners were expected at the event.

Olanrewaju, also TAMPAN Deputy President, said the four-day event would celebrate excellence, hard work, professionalism and create exposure for incoming talents to promote creativity.

He said the conference would also create opportunities for constructive engagements and self-employment.

Olanrewaju said during the conference opening ceremony celebrities were expected to appear and identify with their state chapters.

He said that its members and participants were to register online on the association’s website www.tampan.org for their accreditation.

“Since we desire the revival of our culture and dying values, the set target of this conference is to encourage quality productions by promoting creativity and originality,” he said.
