Abducted chairman of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Aduge Okorodudu, has regained his freedom after 72 hours in captivity.

Okorodudu was released in the early hours of Tuesday, police official says.

It was not clear how he was release as circumstances surrounding his release were still sketchy as of press time but a source claimed a ransom payment was made to his captors.

State Police image maker, DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, however confirmed his release to newsmen when contacted on phone.

She said “it is true. He has been released but we are yet to get the details”.

BIGPEN recalls the council chairman was seized along Mabiaku-Ajamimogha link road in Warri Government Reserved Area (GRA) after his driver was shot around 7:pm Saturday night.
