BREAKING : Coronavirus Hits Edo, 35 Cases In Nigeria

The deadly contagious infection, codenamed Coronavirus has reached Edo state with one confirmed case this morning.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) saddled with the task of updating Nigerians on COVID-19, confirmed this Monday morning in its verified twitter handle.

The tweet reads: “Five new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 2 in Lagos & 1 in Edo

NCDC also confirmed the two more cases in Abuja and Lagos bring the total number of cases in Nigeria to 35.

“2 cases are returning travellers from the UK.

“As at 09:45 am on 23rd March, there are 35 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged”
