JUST IN: Coronavirus Kills 67 Yrs Old UK Returnee – Nigeria Confirmed First COVID-19 Death

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has confirmed first Nigeria’s death resulting from Coronavirus pandemic.

The agency said on Monday morning that a 67 year old man, a returnee from the United Kingdom (U.K), has died of the virus following multiple health complications developed through contact with the deadly infection.

“The 1st #COVID19 death in Nigeria has been recorded. The case was a 67 year old male who returned home following medical treatment in UK

“He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy

“Our thoughts are with his family”, NCDC tweeted on its verified twitter handle Monday morning at about 10:48am.
