Shake Up In NPA, As Management Redeploys 2 Assistants GM, 12 Principal Managers

The management of the Nigerian Ports Authority has approved the immediate reassignment of fourteen critical operation managers comprising Port and Traffic Managers across the country.

The disposition which was signed by the Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman affects two Assistant General Managers and twelve Principal Managers.
The new disposition takes effect immediately and expects all handing over to be completed on or before 28th June 2019, a statement released over the weekend said.
Affected are Mrs Ibrahim Aisha Ali, who until Friday was Port Manager Lagos Port Complex now reports the General Manager, Marine & Operations as Assistant General Manager , Marine& Operations.
Umar Abubakar, former Port Manager, Rivers Port moves to Tin Can Island Port as Port Manager while Mrs Olotu Olufunmilayo, the Port Manager, Calabar Port assumes office as the Port Manager, Lagos Port Complex.

Mrs Asein Marie Ehemeiri who until now served in Delta Port as Traffic Manager moves to Calabar as the new Port Manager while Engr Yunusa Ibrahim Anji , Principal Manager Environment reports to Rivers Port as Port Manager.

The Port Manager TinCan Island Port, Engr Akporherhe Emmanuel is expected to report to the General Manager Health, Safety & Environment as Principal Manager, Safety even as Mr Buba Jubril , the Traffic Manager Calabar reports to TinCan Island Port as Traffic Manager.

Untouched by the disposition are Mr Simon Okeke -Port Manager Delta Port, Alhassan Ismailia – Port Manager Onne Port,  Mr Victor Ogini Abiola- Traffic Manager Lagos Port Complex and Mr Egede Sylvester- Traffic Manager Rivers Port as they remain same offices.

Others not moved are Alh. Abubakar Bello who remains at TinCan Island Port as Traffic Manager Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Izam Yohanna who is retained as Traffic Manager Onne and Mrs Utulu Eno Linda who remains the Traffic Manager Calabar Port.
Isah Idris Danazumi takes over from Musa Shehu Yaro as the new Technical Assistant (Administration) to the Managing Director while Musa Shehu Yaro  moves to Procurement Division as Assistant General Manager.
The Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman enjoined the new appointees to rise up to any challenge in their respective roles as the Authority is poised to deliver on its mandate to facilitate international trade in a safe and secured environment.
