BREAKING! Ojougboh Accepts Outcome Of Delta APC Governorship Primary That Produced Ogboru

One of the three frontline governorship aspirants under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State, Dr Cairo Ojougboh says he has accepted the outcome of the party’s governorship primary that Chief Great Ogboru as candidate of the party for the 2019 governorship elections.

Ojougboh stated this in a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon by Hon Austin Ogbaburhon, Director Admin, Dr Cairo Ojougboh Campaign Organisation and made available to BigPen Online.

He said: “We wish to pledge our loyalty to the leadership of the National working Committee (NWC) and the State chapter of the party.

“Above all, we wish to thank in a special way our supporters throughout the entire 25 LGAs of the State and plead with them to be strong and committed party members. Our supporters should therefore not despair.

Ojougboh who was said to have congratulated Ogboru last night, noted that he actually withdraw from the governorship primary based on some undeserving circumstances, but have decided to accept the Supremacy of the Party.

“Again we wish to state that we were at the Prophet Jones Erue state All Progressives Congress Party primary as conducted by Gen Lawrence Onoja (Rtd). However, we and our supporters had to withdraw from the exercise based on some undeserving circumstances. We had the opportunity to inspect the venue and voting centres but we were not obliged the delegate lists.

“Nonetheless, we want to state that we accept the Supremacy of the Party and therefore have accepted the outcome of the Primary that has produced Chief Great Ogboru despite the underlining circumstances. We therefore pledge our support for the party, the All Progressives Congress.

According to him, he had pledged during his campaign that he shall support the outcome of the primary and work for the party no matter the outcome and we so affirm”.

Ojougboh said the ultimate aim is to dislodge PDP from power in Delta State and it is not important who the Party gives the right to lead the battle.

He urged other contestants that were in the race to also tow his path.

“Yes it is true that the process that led to the Primary and the Primary itself may not be perfect, I plead with my brothers Prof. Pat Utomi, Barr. Victor Ochei and Chief Okotie Osiobe to give peace a chance so we do not destroy the party.

Ojougboh also urged the party’s candidate, Chief Great Ogboru to also commence the healing process that would help the party produce 2million vote for President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019.

“I urge Chief Great Ogboru to immediately kick start the process of healing the party so that the Party can settle down to plan for the takeover of Delta State and produce 2 million votes for the President in Delta State.

He emphasised that he didn’t attended the so-called parallel primary organized by Chief Cyril Ogodo as being circulated in the social media to have reportedly won by Prof Pat Utomi.

“Finally, we state unequivocally that we never attended any parallel Primary organized by Chief Cyril Ogodo and disassociate ourselves from the so called Primary.

“Once again, special appreciation to our supporters ,in Delta State and the Nation as a whole. Long Live Delta APC! Long Live APC Nigeria!!”
