All Progressives Congress (APC), in Delta State, have produced incumbent Senator, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege and ousted leader of the party, Olorogun Otega Emerhor in two different senatorial primaries held in the state.

BigPen Online reports that both Omo-Agege and Emerhor have been on each other jugular over who controls the party structure in the state.

Declaring Emerhor winner, the Returning Officer, Solomon Igbiaye who conducted the primary for the Ogodo-led faction, said Emerhor polled 2, 492 to beat his arch-rival, Senator Omo-Agege who scored a paltry 4 votes out of a total of 2,509 accredited votes with 13 votes declared as void.

In his acceptance speech, Emerhor who expressed confidence that the courts would uphold the Ogodo led executive, said: “As you all know, the Exco that voted here today, was duly inaugurated by the last National Executive.

”I believe the court would ensure that this Exco is upheld along with my candidacy. But unfortunately, another parallel primary is being held by some illegal delegates outside this place.”
