In a major breakthrough for grassroot infrastructure development, Ika North East Local Government, under the watch of Hon Victor Ebonka,(Esq.), is set to commission an ultra-modern hall and office complex built by it.

The event is set for 10am at the Local Government Secretariat, Owa-Oyibu, on December 29, 2023

The complex is designed to warehouse an ultra-modern multi-purpose hall and offices for the echelon of the management of the local government.

Ebonka, who is the state Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, and its National Legal Adviser, who broke news of the upcoming event, said the hall has the capacity to accommodate in excess of 500 persons at a time, and is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities to provide the right ambience for meetings for the local government staff as well as serve as venue for other events.

He said that the offices segment of the complex is also equipped with all relevant operational items that would create the right atmosphere for an ideal work environment.

Ebonka disclosed that the complex would be commissioned by the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

The event is expected to attract the cream of society, including royal fathers, especially His Royal Majesty, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor 11, the Obi of Owa, in whose domain the complex is located.

Ebonka said that the complex form part of the legacy projects which the local government, under his watch, had delivered for the benefit of the people.

He listed the other projects to include the provision of operational vehicles for vigilance groups in the area, the provision of solar energy -based street light in all Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs) in the local government area, the provision of official vehicles for management of the local government and the building of Boji-Boji International Market and the ultra-modern Ebu-Owa Market.
