Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Goodnews Goodman Agbi, has threatened to file a suit against Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over alleged error in his party logo on the ballot paper.

Addressing newsmen after he casted his vote in Ikruvuha quarters, Oyede Ward 12 unit 3, Agbi decried the placement of his party logo on the ballot paper, alleging that he was rigged him out systematically through the faded party logo in the ballot paper.

Agbi said that he was deliberately rigged out of the election because the ballot paper used by INEC had disenfranchised most of his supporters and people who came out en mass to vote for him.

He said that he has already briefed his legal team to study the circumstances and file a case against INEC over the development.

Agbi, however said that the BIVAS device worked well when he was accredited but when it get to voting, he find out that the paper logo was difficult to locate in the ballot paper.

“We couldn’t even wait for the election results to be counted because we were rigged out ab initio. It’s a fundamental issue. All of our voters were deliberately disenfranchised so we are not interested in the results. So many voters couldn’t vote because they couldn’t identify our logo on the ballot.

“We have been handicap over this development. If you see the logo of APC it was conspicuous. That of PDP is also visible but when it gets to NNPP it is very fainted and our people find it difficult to see our logo to vote. The old women and men couldn’t see our logo so how will they vote for us?.

“Besides, there was massive vote buying in all the units. They were voting buying everywhere, they were giving people wrappers after voting after writing their names. We have evidence, we have so many and when we get to court we will provide our evidence. It is a very serious issue and we have informed our legal team to look into it”, he said.
