BREAKING: Another Single-day Spike In COVID-19 In Nigeria, Tally Near 20,000

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria is closing up to 20,000, according to data compiled by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) with Lagos, epicenter of the virus leading the number of states which are worst-hit nationwide.
According to NCDC, data, Nigeria has recorded 661 new confirmed cases in a single-day test result and 19 death on Saturday, June 20.
This, brings the overall total cases recorded in the country to 19,808.
So far, the 6,718 cases have been discharged and 506 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 661 new cases are reported from 14 states in a single-day, according to the agency.
They are; Lagos(230), Rivers(127), Delta(83), FCT(60), Oyo(51), Edo(31),Bayelsa(27), Kaduna(25), Plateau(13), Ondo(6), Nasarawa(3), Ekiti(2), Kano(2), Borno(1)
BIGPEN recalls that as of Friday, Nigeria had Six hundred and sixty-seven (667) confirmed cases reported in the last 24 hours from twenty-three (23) states.
