2019: Phrank Shaibu, Now Atiku’s Special Assistant On Public Communications & Strategy
Shaibu’s appointment was announced late Sunday, December 2nd, as Atiku kicks off his presidential campaign for the 2019 general election on Monday.
In a statement by Paul Ibe, Atiku’s Media Adviser, Shaibu is expected to engage in a ”robust” relationship with members of the Nigerian public, during the course of Atiku’s electioneering campaign, as the campaign train veers off in Sokoto on Monday, December 3rd.
”Through robust engagement with the Nigerian public, Shaibu is expected to project Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s vision for Nigeria and his action plan to achieve it as encapsulated in his policy document, TheAtikuPlan,” the statement said.
Shaibu, a graduate of the University of Jos(UNIJOS) is an experienced public communicator, and strategist having worked with several state governments, and has built an impressive reputation for himself.
He has consulted for nine (9) governors in the past, some of which were; as a Resident Consultant, Public Communication, and Strategy with the Kogi State State Government under Abubakar Audu, Idris Wada, and Ibrahim Idris.
He held same position in Rivers State during the tenure of Rotimi Amaechi as governor of the state, and was also a Consultant to former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan on Public Communication, and strategy.
He also consulted for former Plateau State Governor, Joshua Dariye.
He was also a columnist in the defunct Diet Newspapers, now known as the Daily Independent, Businessday, and NewAge newspapers, and several other media outlets where his opinions, mostly about issues of the day have been published.
