BREAKING: PDP Chieftain Daniel Orbih, Wike’s Ally is Dead

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, has died.

Orbih, who was reportedly an ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, died on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The news of his death was announced by his family in a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., on behalf of the Orbih family.

The family described his death as a painful loss, saying the announcement was made with “profound sadness and a heavy heart” while submitting to the will of Almighty God.

The late PDP chieftain is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih; his children, Ms. Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih; his siblings and other members of his extended family.

The family appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they come to terms with the loss.

“At this difficult time, we ask family members, friends and well-wishers to remember the entire family in their prayers as we mourn this painful loss,” the statement said.

The family added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
