25-year-old Woman Allegedly Cuts Off Boyfriend’s Manhood After Learning He Wanted to Marry Another Woman

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman accused of cutting off her boyfriend’s manhood.

According to a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, the suspect hails from Maigatari Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

Police said the incident happened at Durbar Hotel in the Badawa area of Kano. The suspect allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a sharp knife after she found out he was planning to marry another woman.

“On Monday, around 12:50pm, we received a report from the management of Durbar Hotel, Badawa, that a 25-year-old suspect from Maigatari LGA, Jigawa State, allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a sharp knife after discovering he intended to marry another woman,” Haruna-Kiyawa stated.

He added that upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area led a team of detectives to the scene.
On arrival, they found that the suspect had already severed the victim’s manhood during the attack.

BBC pidgin reports that the police said the suspect was arrested at the scene and the weapon, a sharp knife, was recovered as an exhibit.

The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
