Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the global community as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the festival, Nwoko congratulated adherents of Islam for successfully completing the month-long fast, describing Ramadan as a sacred period of devotion, sacrifice, and reflection.

“I give thanks to Almighty Allah for granting us the strength, patience, and grace to complete the sacred month of Ramadan,” he stated, emphasizing the spiritual discipline and resilience demonstrated by the faithful throughout the fasting period.

The senator noted that Eid-el-Fitr is more than a festive occasion, characterizing it as a solemn reminder of shared responsibilities toward one another and the broader society.

According to him, the values cultivated during Ramadan, faith, humility, generosity, and unity, must extend beyond the celebration and continue to shape national life.

“Eid is not merely a celebration; it is a call to sustain the enduring values of faith, humility, generosity, and unity,” Nwoko said. “These principles must continue to guide our actions as we strive to build a more peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous nation.”

He urged Nigerians of all religious and ethnic backgrounds to embrace tolerance, mutual respect, and compassion, particularly toward the less privileged.

Stressing the importance of collective responsibility, the lawmaker underscored the role of unity in fostering national cohesion and sustainable development.

Nwoko further called on citizens to use the occasion to pray for the peace, security, and continued development of the country, expressing optimism that Nigeria’s challenges can be overcome through resilience and faith.

“With unity, resilience, and faith, we will overcome our challenges and realise a brighter future for all,” he affirmed.

The senator concluded by wishing Muslims and their families a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration marked by abundant blessings and renewed hope.

Eid-el-Fitr is observed worldwide by Muslims as the culmination of Ramadan, a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and charitable acts.
