Isoko South Chairman Describes Late Councillor As Humble, Loyal Man as His Remains Is Buried

The chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri, has described the late councillor, representing Uzere ward 04 in the legislative arm of the council, Patrick Abrudhakpo Ogoro as a dedicated, humble and loyal man whose contributions to community development and grassroots mobilisation will remain indelible in the minds of the people.

Warri who stated this on Friday during a valedictory session held at the council legislative chambers in Oleh, the headquarters of the council in honour of the late councillor, expressed saddiness over the sudden demise of the young politicians at the time his contributions were most needed.

The council chairman extended condolences to the family of the deceased councillor and the people of Uzere ward 04 over the untimely passing of their son.

Warri expressed profound sorrow over the loss, emphasising that Patrick was more than a friend to him even before council activities and that since his passing, he has been in deep pain and tears because according to him, such passing at such a young age was shocking and a great loss to the local government and the state at large.

“It’s not a day for speeches; I have no more tears to share. Patrick was a friend even before we joined the council. The Lord knows the end from the beginning. Patrick is no more, but he still lives on. In all that we do, we should always be mindful of our health.”, Warri added,

The council boss also assured the grieving family that they are not alone during this difficult time, pledging his support to them.

Also speaking, the leader of the Isoko South legislative arm, Friday Olokor, described the late councillor as a very gentle man who possessed legislative sagacity, and will be greatly missed on the floor of the house.

The leader also urged the family to find solace in the legacy Patrick left behind, encouraging them to remain strong and united.

Subsequently, a funeral service was held at Uzere, which was attended by numerous dignitaries, including the council chairman, vice chairman, leader of the Isoko South legislative arm, secretary to the local government, head of personal management (HPM), family members, political leaders, councillors, supervising councillors, and sympathisers who gathered to pay tribute to the councillor’s lifetime achievements

Until his passing, the late Hon. Patrick Abrudhakpo Ogoro served as councillor representing Uzere ward 04 B and chairman of the House committee on information, and had also previously served as personal assistant to one time chairman of Isoko South and former President General of Isoko Development Union, (IDU), Iduh Amadhe.
