He said that the statewide sanitation exercise, free medical outreach, student outreach, as well as townhall meetings were held simultaneously in all the eight Area Commands of the state.

Edafe said that the events were tailored to fostering community engagement, promoting public health, and enhancing police’ collective environment.

According to him, “As part of the student outreach, officers of the command in collaboration with representatives from POCACOV and DSS, visited selected primary and secondary schools.

“They engaged students on topics such as personal safety, the role of law enforcement, and good citizenship with emphasis on the avoidance of cybercrimes, cultism and drug abuse.

“The town hall meeting chaired by the commissioner of Police CP Olufemi Abaniwonda provided a platform for dialogue between the police and residents. It brought together key stakeholders from the PCRC, Honorary Mess members, State Anti-Cult, Vigilant Groups, members of Nigeria hunters, traditional rulers, and senior police officers to discuss pressing security concerns, foster dialogue, and encourage mutual understanding.
