The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false and misleading claims that aspirants are being denied access to nomination forms for the forthcoming State House of Assembly elections.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party described the allegations as unfounded and politically motivated, aimed at creating confusion and discord within its ranks.

The party insisted that the reports were deliberate attempts to undermine its internal processes and disrupt party unity.

According to the statement, the APC leadership in Delta State has not, at any time, authorized or condoned the denial of nomination forms to any qualified aspirant.

It emphasized that the committee responsible for the sale and administration of the forms is actively operating at the state secretariat, ensuring that all interested aspirants are attended to without bias and in line with directives from the party’s National Working Committee.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and internal democracy, noting that its processes have remained orderly and consistent with established guidelines.

It warned that individuals behind the alleged misinformation were acting out of personal ambition rather than genuine concern for the party’s progress.

The APC further described the spread of such claims as harmful to the unity and confidence of its members, stressing that it would not tolerate any attempt to manipulate or intimidate the party leadership or derail its preparations for the elections.

The statement also disclosed that the sale of nomination forms is ongoing and will continue until May 4, 2026, in accordance with the party’s revised timetable.

Aspirants were advised to disregard the misinformation and proceed to the party secretariat to complete the necessary processes within the stipulated period.

Reiterating its resolve to conduct a credible and transparent nomination exercise, the party called on members and the general public to rely only on official communications from the APC, while ignoring what it described as baseless and disruptive claims.

The party leadership expressed appreciation to members for their loyalty and support, assuring them of its commitment to building a stronger and united APC ahead of the elections.
