Delta: Councillor, Others Thank Isoko North Chairman for Timely Release of Constituency Funds

For its leadership qualities and releasing of funds to execute projects at his ward, the councillor representing Ozoro Ward 16 (Erovie), Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Christopher Enakeno, alongside Erovie community leaders, Wednesday paid what they called a “thank-you visit” to the council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba.

The councillor, accompanied by Erovie community leaders said they were at the council secretariat in Ozoro, to show appreciation to the council chairman for his exemplary leadership, transparency, and accountability in releasing the funds.

Enakeno, noted that the timely release of the Ward (Constituency) funds enabled him to carry out the full renovation of the Erovie community town hall.

“Sir, we are very grateful for the leadership impact you have brought to our local government. The gesture has strengthened grassroots governance and boosted the confidence of the people in the Council.”, Enakeno said.

Also speaking during the visit, the Erovie community chairman, Bernard Etah, commended the council boss, Ogorugba for the visible and laudable projects executed across various communities in Isoko North.

Etah specifically praised the council chairman for the policy of releasing Ward (Constituency) funds directly to councillors to execute ward-based projects, describing it as a model of inclusive and participatory government.

The community leader, said the initiative has empowered councillors like Christopher Enakeno to respond swiftly to the pressing needs of their constituents without bureaucratic delays.

In his response, the council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba thanked the Erovie community delegation for the visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable distribution of resources, grassroots development, and accountability to the people of Isoko North

Present during the visit were, Joshua Alebe supervisor for environment, Thomas Akpoedafe supervisor for Agriculture and community development, Jude Ogwologho, DOP to the Chairman, Odio Abighe Godwin, Odio of Erovie community, Okpowho Akpobome, Youth leader Erovie community among others.
