Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a prominent Nigerian politician and businessman, has passed away in a London hotel.

Ubah, who represented Anambra South and was a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), died just two days after arriving in London.

Ubah was a successful entrepreneur and founder of Capital Oil (CCO), which he established in 2001. He was also a devoted family man, married to Uchenna, with whom he had five children.

In a previous close call, Ubah survived an assassination attempt in September 2022 when his convoy was attacked by gunmen in Anambra State. At least five people, including two policemen, were killed in the incident, but Ubah escaped unharmed due to his bulletproof vehicle.
