An old footage of FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, criticizing the overbearing role godfathers play in the affairs of their states has emerged.

The is coming as Wike and Governor Fubara, his ‘political son’, are said to be at loggerhead in River State following overbearing posture of the former.

Multiple reports say the Rivers State House of Assembly are up in arms with the governor in an impeachment moves believed to be fueled by Wike.

Speaking with newsmen in February, Wike had berated some actions of most godfathers on their successors.

His words: “The problem leaders have is that, you succeeded supporting a person to be in office… Did you do that for the person to fail or succeed?

“You want him to be coming to your house to take orders? You want your wife to tell him ‘this is what o want or not?”

“Once you have left office, give yourself that respect and say, I have done my own. If he wants my advise, it’s okay. If he doesn’t, it’s okay.”
