UPDATED: Gov Adeleke Smuggled Out Of Eid Prayer Ground Over Power Clash With Ex-spokesman Of Senate

There was mid drama on Wednesday as aides of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and an ex-spokesperson of the Senate, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, engaged in a public brawl at Osogbo while trying to observe Prayers at the Eid Praying Ground.
Trouble started when the Governor arrived the Eid prayer ground with Asiwaju of Osogbo, Chief Tunde Badmus and other prominent sons of Osogbo to observe two Rakat congregational prayer.
An ex-spokesperson of the Senate, Dr. Ajibola Basiru sat on the reserved front-row seat but a protocol of Adeleke approached to inform him it was the seat kept for the Governor.
Dr Ajibola Basiru changed his seat to another front row seat, which the protocol still kicked against.
The sitting arrangement led to a clash by some APC chieftains who took over the Governor’s section and reportedly beat up PDP House of representative Member for Osogbo federal Constituency, Hon. Moruf Gangaria.
Governor Adeleke arrived the venue with his team amidst the ongoing rumpus.
The Governor was encircled and the security personnel practically smuggled him out of the place.
Armed thugs were seen with top weapons, on two occasions, the Governor could not access the prayer point.
Top Osogbo PDP Leaders were molested and beaten up.
Multiple reports say however, the Governor escaped the scene unhurt after been smuggled out by security personnel.
After the prayers, the entrance to the prayer ground was locked by the police, following claims that an order had come for Basiru’s arrest, but the entrance was later opened and the participants left the premises.
