ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF SOME PERSONNEL INTO THE ASABA SPECIALIST HOSPITAL, ASABA

The Asaba Specialist Hospital hereby invites application from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the hospital:
1. Consultants:
a. Orthopaedic Surgeon
b. Paediatrician;
c. Family Physician;
d. Obstretician & Gynaecologist;
e. Anaesthetist
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for any of the positions listed above must possess the following:
i.) MBBS or similar qualifications registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
ii.) Fellowship of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West Africa Postgraduate Medical College or their equivalents in the relevant specializations,
iii.) Current practicing license,
iv.) NYSC discharge certification or exemption from service.

2. Principal Medical Officer 11:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess qualifications in no.1 i.), iii.) and iv.) above plus 7 years post qualification experience

3. Senior Medical Officer 1:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess all qualifications in no. 1 i.), iii.) and iv.) above plus 4 years post qualification experience.

4. Senior Medical Officer 11:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess all qualifications in no. 2 except the years of experience

5. Nursing Officer1:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess all of these qualifications:
i.) B Sc. Nursing Certificate from a recognized university or RN/RM with at least 3 years experience in a government hospital;
ii.) NYSC or exemption discharge certificate for holders of B Sc. Degree certificate;
iii.) Post Basic Diploma in Intensive Care or Anesthesia
iv.) Current Nursing license.

6. Nursing Officer 11
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess the RN/RM certificates including the current Nursing License.

7. Health Information Technicians (Medical Records)
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess an OND in Health Record or its equivalent from a recognized School of Health Technology;

8. Medical Laboratory Scientists
Qualification/ Eligibility Scientists: Candidates applying for the post must possess the following:
i.) B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Science or its equivalent from a recognized University;
ii.) certificate of registration and current membership with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria,
iii.) NYSC certificate or exemption from service

9. Medical Laboratory Technicians
Qualification/ Eligibility: Candidates for the position must have 5 SSCE or Its equivalent and OND certificate in Medical lab. Techn. or its equivalent from a recognized School of Health Technology

10. Pharmacist
Qualifications/Eligibility Candidates applying for the position of Pharmacist must possess the following:
i.) B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) degree or its equivalent from a recognized University, which is registrable with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
ii.) Current license with the pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
iii.) National Youths Service Corp (NYSC) discharge certificate or an exemption letter.

11. Principal Radiographers / Principal Medical Imaging Scientists
Qualifications/Eligibility Candidates applying for the position must possess the following:
i.) Applicants should posses B.Sc degree in Radiography/Medical Imaging Science or its equivalent with evidence of completion of internship, Certificate of Registration with the Radiographers Board of Nigeria and evidence of completion of or exemption from NYSC with at least 6 years post qualification experience;
ii.) Applicants with proficiency in CT, MRI, Mammography and having worked with Digital Imaging facilities will be an added advantage.

12. Radiographers / Medical Imaging Scientists
Qualifications/Eligibility Candidates applying for the position must possess same qualifications as in no. 11 but with one year internship training..

13. X-Ray Technician
Qualifications/Eligibility : Candidates applying for the position must have 5 SSCE Credit passes or its equivalent and OND X-Ray Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized School of Health Technology or approved institution of training.

14. Dental Technologist:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess any of the following qualifications
i.) HND in Dental Technology from a recognized Institution or its equivalent;
ii.) NYSC or exemption Certificate.

15. Optician:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess Diploma in Dispensing Optics or its equivalents from a recognized institution of training. Experience is an added advantage.

16. Nutrition Officer (Dietician)
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess
i.) B. Sc in Nutrition and Food or Dietetics from a recognized University
ii.) NYSC certificate or exemption from service

17. Job Title: Scientific Officers
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess
i.) Bachelors degree, B Sc or its equivalent in Medical and appropriate natural Sciences
ii.) NYSC or Exemption Certificate

18. Biomedical Engineer 1
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess at least any of the following:
i.) B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering
ii.) NYSC or exemption discharge certificate
iii.) Registration with your professional body

19. Anesthetic Technician
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess the SSCE 5 credit passes or its equivalent and an OND certificate in Anesthesia or its equivalent from a recognized school of Health Technology/training institution. .
20. Optometrists
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess the Doctor of Optometry Degree, evidence of completion of internship and NYSC discharge certificate and
certificate of registration with the Optometrist Council of Nigeria

21. Social Services Officers
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess
i.) B.Sc degree in Social Work or any of the relevant Social Sciences or Physical and Health Education obtained from a recognized University,
ii.) NYSC Certificate or exemption from service.

22. Higher Executive Officers(G/D):
Qualifications/Eligibility: Applicants should possess any of the following:
i.) B Sc. or HND in the social sciences or humanities
ii.) NYSC or Exemption Certificate for holders of HND

23. Assistant Executive Officer (Accounts):
Qualifications/Eligibility: Applicants should possess any of the following:
i.) Ordinary National Diploma, OND in Accountancy or Business Administration with Accountancy as one of the subject obtained from a recognized institution;
ii.) A pass in the intermediate Examination of any of the recognized Professional Accountancy bodies;
iii.) Intermediate Certificate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators
iv.) R.S.A Stage 1(Advanced) in Accounts and Book keeping

26. Clerical Officer 11:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess the SSCE or its equivalent with 4 credits at one sitting or 5 credits at 2 sittings

27. Assistant Technical Officer (Electrical)
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidates applying for the position must possess an OND qualification in Electrical Engineering or related subject from a recognized Institution

28. Health Assistants:
Qualifications/Eligibility: Candidate applying for the position must possess a minimum of
i.) S.75 of JSSCE or GCL O/L obtained with 3 credits at a sitting or 4 credits at 2 sittings;
ii.) Successful completion of 2 year training in the School of Health Technology or any other approved Health Institution and obtained the National Certificate for Health Assistant cadre

29.Cleaners.
Qualifications/Eligibility: An able body candidate.
