Signed, Sealed And Delivered! Obaseki Receives Results Sheet After INEC Declared Him Governor-elect

Incumbent Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godswill Obaseki, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he has recieved results sheet of the governorship election held on Saturday in the state.

He spoke via his twitter handle on Sunday hour after INEC declared his victory over his main rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in yesterday’s governorship ballot in the state.

“I have just received the results sheet of the Edo governorship election from @inecnigeria, which provides details of the polls cast on Saturday. I appreciate Edo people for their support and unflinching resolve to reward our hard work. Congratulations to all of us once more!, the governor tweeted.

BIGPEN reports that Obaseki secured his second term in office with a total of 307, 955 votes to defeat All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu-Iyamu who got 223, 619 votes.
