Nigeria’s capital city Abuja has three cases, Ogun and Ekiti states have two and one respectively. Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde also announced that a case has been recorded in the state. But his announcement was not part of the official figure released by the NCDC on Sunday morning, according to The Guardian.

But a statement by Oyo State Ministry of Health task force on COVID-19 obtained by BIGPEN Sunday morning indicates, the COVID-19 confirmation test for the suspected case at Bodija came back POSITIVE.

According to the statement, the result was released at 17:35 PM of March 21, 2020. The Oyo State Public Health Officials are collaborating with the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan’s team on the case.

“The information given that he stayed in some hotels in Ibadan has been found to be false.
