UPDATE: BREAKING: PDP Guber Aspirant Shot Dead In Rivers

A 2019 Governorship aspirant in Rivers state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been reported shot dead.

The victim identified as Soalabo Wariye West, an energy and maritime lawyer of the Kalabari ethnic extraction, was abducted reportedly by gunmen suspected to be armed herdsmen.

According to Nation report, West was abducted at his poultry farm in Port Harcourt two weeks ago but was reportedly shot dead by his assailants on Thursday morning.
