Omo-Agege Reacts To His Namesake, Ovie Ali’s Tweet On Being Bedridden For 2 Years

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has reacted to a tweet by a twitter user, Omasoro Ovie Ali who tweeted that he has been bedridden for two years despite he being popularly known for chunking out volumes of positive tweets in favour of developmental strides of government across the country.

BIGPEN Online understands that Ovie Ali was the twitter user who recently shared photos of locally produced Armored Personnel Carrier,  (APC) vehicles for the Nigerian Army and police that got some celebrities reacting positively to the laudable development on their respective social media pages.

Ali had responded to a tweet by another twitter user, Ikenna Ronald Nzimoro @ronaldnzimora who threw jab at him over his positive tweets about the All Progressive Congress, APC-led government of President Buhari, suggesting he has become ‘depressed’ because of the tweet supporting the government efforts.

Nzimora tweeted, “why won’t you be depressed?  You cannot be tweet-defending Buhari day and night for months on end and not be depressed. They don’t even give you people up-to $100 a month for your morbid miserable job”.

However, @Ovieali reply to the tweet got twitter buzzing for week-long including attracting the attention of the deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to the tweet.

Ali wrote” “Dear @ronaldnzimora. I’m hardly inclined to indulging in self-pity, but my tweets are mostly about Progress Nigeria to inspire others. God hasn’t bestowed me with good health, bedridden in two years now, this can have a toll on ones mind. But I will continue my good news tweets.

Ali said that he was not in anyone’s pay roll for the selfless promotional tweets he was doing in support of government efforts across the country.

“And I want us to disabuse ourselves of any alleged shilling. I  have never collected 50kobo from anyone or APC. Don’t know the road to northern Nigeria and haven’t been to Abuja in my life. Don’t know Aso Rock😊. It is all patriotism and free of charge updates for country”.

Omo-Agege, responding to the tweet in his verified twitter handle, @OvieOmoAgege, expressed sympathy with Ali over his plight and urged him to send him an a direct message on twitter.

Reacting to Omo-Agege’s post, several Nigerians took to twitter to commend the Deputy Senate President for recognizing Ali who has been consistent in tweeting good news on Nigeria’s investment, infrastructure and development.

An elated Olatunji David while commending Omo-Agege for his response however pledged to donate N200, 000 to Ali

Following series of backlashes that trailed the earlier offensive tweet, Nzimora later apologize for his diatribe.
