The Federal Government says a total sum of $5.4bn of the Paris Club Refund was disbursed to states across the federation.

Mrs Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Finance made this disclosure on Monday in Abuja.

The Paris Club Refund was disbursed to states in phases with some conditions.

Some of the conditions includes payment of salaries, commitment to the repayment of Budget Support Loans granted in 2016 and clearing of amounts due to the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative.

Other conditions includes commitment to clearing matching grants from the Universal Basic Education Commission where some States have available funds which could be used to improve primary education.
