Delta APC Refers To Factional Chairman, Ogodo As “One Ogodo”

State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Delta State, has described Chief Cyril Ogodo, a former deputy chairman of the party as “one Ogodo”, who is still under expulsion from the Party.

The Prophet Jones Ode Erue- led SWC said that the activities of the said Ogodo and his co-travelers would not affect the political fortune of the party as they remained expelled.

BigPen Online recalls that Ogodo, who is a factional chairman of the party had said Prophet Jones Ode Erue has no powers to set up reconciliation committee for the party since he is not the court recognized chairman of the party.

But responding State Publicity Secretary of the party, Barr. Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina, insisted that the party SWC led by Prophet Erue is the authentic body recognized and vested with the powers by the party’s National Working Committee with a valid and subsisting judgment of Court, to run the affairs of the party in Delta State.

He also maintained that in line with the powers vested on Jones Erue led SWC, it was the said SWC that conducted party’s primaries for all aspirants of the party from Delta State.

While insisting that Ogodo has no place in the party, the Publicity Secretary disclosed that prior to the build up to the party’s primaries, because of the unconstitutional and anti-party dispositions of Cyril Ogodo and 9 others, they were expelled from the party and they remained expelled till date.

The party however said that Ogodo was only creating imaginary crisis everywhere for the party when there is none.

“That in order to create a bad impression about APC and unnecessary attention, Cyril Ogodo and his co-travelers resorted to filing of cases in different Courts in Nigeria. That is, playing the role of a bull in a China shop. In other words, what they cannot get, they must destroy.

“Also, in line with Cyril Ogodo and his cohorts’ plans, through their social media errand boys, they tried to feed members of the public with hotchpotch of lies that there was/is political misunderstanding and/ or frosty relationship between the Party Governorship Candidate, Chief Great Ogboru and Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, forgetting the fact that the duo are political Siamese twins who understand the antics of political detractors like Cyril Ogodo and his cohorts.

“That the purported order of injunction that Cyril Ogodo relies on only exist in his fantasy, as same is being contested in the appropriate Court

“That as part of the plans of Cyril Ogodo and his cohorts, some of their kind were recently directed by them to defect to a particular party in Delta State, to act as political forerunners to them in that party, while they stay behind to fan embers of disunity in APC.

The party said that the purpose of the reconciliation Committee, set up by the recognized SWC of the Party, led by Prophet Jones Ode Erue is to bring every genuine APC Faithful together with the aim of assuaging the feelings of those who could not get the party’s ticket and other interests tendencies, and the need to remind them that they can serve/represent the Party in other capacities.
