JUST IN: Utomi Disowns “Caricature” Comments Ascribed To Him About APC, Delta Governorship Primary

Renowned economist, Prof Pat Utomi has denied making the noxious comments relating to his party, All Progressive Congress (APC) and the governorship primary of the party in Delta State being circulated in the social media.
Utomi, in what appears like a caricature was quoted to have said, “While I was still looking for the venue for the APC Governorship primaries, a friend called to tell me that the election has been concluded & a winner has emerged. APC is fraudulent & occultic.”
But in a statement signed by Engr. Leonard Obibi, spokesperson for Pat Utomi Support Hub (PUSH 2019) and made available to BigPen Online on Monday evening, Utomi said that the comments ascribed to him was the handiwork of desperate elements.
According to him, the “statement and others” are been issued by unknown persons or sources who seem blinded by desperation and are determined to conjure or invoke a conflict of interests between Prof. Pat Utomi and his party.
He said he never at any point made such comment against the party which he worked very hard as a founding member to bring into existence.

“He has always maintained that he will continue to sustain and work to improve the All Progressives Congress, APC, being a party of change that is designed to serve the interests of the general masses of our nation, and that APC is the last political vehicle to which he would be associated”, the statement said.
Obibi added, Prof.Utomi is well known to always communicate his views or positions on whatever issues in a proper manner, and so any such odd pieces or caricature posts do not emanate from him.
The statement further said, “This note serves as a firm rebuttal of such awkward posts that are intended to pursue the interest of the originators only”.
