Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, James Manager got a dose of what he didn’t bargain for on Monday as he was booed and chased out of a political event he convened at Tuomo community, in Burutu Council Area.

Sources disclosed that Manager hurriedly left the community when he couldn’t control youths who were jeering and booing him at the event.

The Senator was ferried away by security details when mob thronged the event and scattered the canopies and chairs shouting that the lawmaker was a total failure.

Manager who hails from Ogiriagbene community, near Bomadi and a four team senator who is seeking to stage a come back to the red chamber was at the community to meet with prospective delegates for the forthcoming PDP primaries.

Unfortunately, BigPen Online gathered that some group of youths who believed Manager had failed to represent them effectively stormed the event and asked him and his entourage which include Elder J.T. Government, Arede Agada and host of others to leave.

The source disclosed that the mobs seized the microphone from the Master of Ceremony at the event which was supposed to be a political consultation with delegates and started pouring venoms on Manager before the event became chaotic.

The source said that if it was not for security details who guided him out of the area, they could have lynched him as the atmosphere was so tensed that canopies were fallen on people.

A resident who simply gave his name as Abalagha said, “he intended to consult with the all substantive delegates of the entire LGA who were asked to convened at the venue, but unfortunately the event was obstructed by a group of youths, who claimed they have been deprived of their right to purposeful and qualitative representative by the senator.

“The youths were shouting that a lot of abandoned projects littered the area without the senator coming to their rescue. There is a massive erosion problem plaguing the community, Senator Manager is aware of it because him and Julius Pondi where here when the river back craved in but what did he do about it since then? Nothing. There is another NDDC shoreline protection project abandoned in the area and we have a son in the Senate who want us to return him?.

“We have asked him to return to Ogiriagbene, his home town because his going back to the red chamber would be frustrated at every point we see him because of the way he has frustrated and deprived us over the years.

“So the youths are very anger with him. Himself and the whole entourage made of the like of J.T. Government, Arede that came with him were asked to leave while they were jeering and booing him.

“It was a big disgrace. One of the youths even seized the mic and was accusing him publicly before they start falling and scattering the canopies”, our said disclosed.
