A socio-political pressure, the Delta Central Good Governance Group (DCGGG), has called for support for a Sapele-based business tycoon, Olorogun (Barr.) Charles Ufuoma Obule as he joined the Delta Central Senatorial District race.

The group said that Obule has what it takes to network with relevant stakeholders to ensure Delta Central gets its due democratic dividends if given the mandate to be at the red chamber.

In a statement signed by Com. Luke Oghenevwede, and Mr. Eshareturi Aghogho, its coordinator and secretary respectively, the group said that Urhobo nation deserves capable hands in the Senate and so the very best of the first eleven should go.

DCGGG, however called on Urhobo nation and the political class to ensure they rally round Olorogun Obule with a view to move Urhobo nation to greater heights.

“We are using this opportunity to call on the leadership and members of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) and the people of Delta Central to give their support to Olorogun Obule who has all it takes to reposition Delta Central and give good representation to the people in the Senate because law making and national politics are better left for those who has the requisite link and contact and Chief Obule is the best person who the cap fits, let’s give him the mandate and we all shall be happy for it because he will not disappoint us.

“It is on record that Chief Obule is a philanthropist using his group of schools and the medical centre and other individual assistance to the people and he was the highest donor during the fund raising for Urhobo Cultural Centre, Uvwiamuge, Agbarho.

He did all this and still doing now when not in government, so imagine the magnitude of his philanthropy when given the mandate to represent Delta Central Senatorial District in the Senate, let’s give him the needed support to emerge our Senator and Urhobo nation would be glad for it.

“In his personal capacity, Chief Obule has touched lives and still touching lives, when given the mandate, no doubt, he will do extra more to turn the fortunes of Urhobo nation around.

“We believe that the type of empowerment that he will give to his people will be very unique , it will not be buying of second hand cars for them nor giving market women and men stipends of N50,000.00 which does not impact on the the people.

“He will not go there to enrich himself but genuinely empower men, women and youths and also care for the elderly as well as ensure infrastructural development of the Senatorial District.

“Olorogun Obule is a capable hand, first eleven, he will not disappoint Urhobo nation as he has a tract record of lending supportive hand for the advancement of Urhobo nation and if given the mandate, Urhobo nation would be better for it and the Eldorado that we crave for will be here with us if given the mandate. We know that he will deliver quality service to Urhobo nation and service delivery would be his watch word.”
