The Senate on Tuesday mandated its committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate Senator Ovie Omo-Agege over the statement credited to him on the amendment of the Electoral Act.
Omo-Agege who represents Delta Central Senatorial had last week said the reordering of the 2019 elections was targeted at President Muhammadu Buhari.
Coming through a point of order, Senator Dino Melaye expressed dissatisfaction with the statement credited to Omo-Agege in the media.
Melaye added while senator Omo-Agege was labouring in Labour Party, he followed the President across the nooks and crannies of the country and that the amendment was therefore not targeted at Buhari.
