The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its recruitment portal will reopen from *October 28 to November 13, 2026* for candidates who have reached the final stage of the ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise.

The Secretary to the Board, Maj.-Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd), disclosed this in Abuja during the Board’s second meeting for the year, clarifying that the portal reopening is not for fresh applications but a continuation of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

According to Jibril, the exercise is part of the final phase of the Federal Government’s plan to recruit 30,000 personnel into four paramilitary agencies — the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.

Eligible candidates who have completed medical examination and oral interview are expected to:

1. Visit the official portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng between Oct 28 and Nov 13.
2. Log in to check their recruitment status.
3. Obtain a code for mandatory drug screening.
4. Proceed to designated National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) offices in their respective states for the test.

Jibril emphasized that the drug screening is *free*, as the Federal Government will bear the cost. He warned candidates not to pay anyone for codes or screening and to report any demand for money to the nearest security agency.

He added that candidates who pass the drug test must obtain a certificate confirming they are free from illegal drug use before they will be invited to Abuja to collect their appointment letters.
