COVID-19 Balloons Again In Nigeria As 196 Test Positive, Tally Now 1728

For the third record times, Nigeria has recorded 196 single day positive test of coronavirus (COVID-19) across 12 states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

BIGPEN reports that only on Tuesday 195 persons had tested positive for COVID-19 across 15 states including the FCT.

The new confirmed cases released by Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Wednesday night are as follow: 87-Lagos, 24-Kano, 18-Gombe, 17-Kaduna, 16-FCT, 10-Katsina, 8-Sokoto, 7-Edo, 6-Borno, 1-Yobe, 1-Ebonyi, 1-Adamawa.

So far, the country, as at 11:55pm 29th April, has 1728 confirmed cases of COVID-19 spread across 34 states and the FCT out of 36 states in the country.

According to data from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, the agency saddle with responsibility of managing the infection and updating Nigerians, 307 previously infected patients have been treated and discharged while 51 persons have died of the virus in the country.
