HOSTCON Leadership Endorse Buhari’s Reelection Bid

The National leadership of Host
Communities of Nigeria has threw its weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari reelection bid.

A statement by National Director Media & Publicity of HOSCON, Okakuro Monday Whiskey, said the Prince Dr. Mike Emuh-led group were supporting Buhari’s reelection for his developmental stride in the Niger Delta region.

According to the statement, Emuh had briefed the House of the genuine desire of President Muhammadu Buhari and the proactive measures that has been put in place to ensure that the people of the oil and gas bearing communities whose resources are been used to drive the Nigeria economy of the country are adequately positioned in the national
scheme of things to Compensate for their petro-dollar contribution to the economic growth of the nation.

According to them, “the States of infrastructure in the Niger Delta are encouraging, we thanked the President for ongoing projects in the Niger Delta Areas like the Ogoni cleanup, Port Harcourt International Airport Terminal, the ongoing massive development at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, the takeoff of the Nigeria Maritime University Okerenkoko,

“The Okene-Auchi-Ekpoma-Benin
dualization project, the Ewu-Agbor-Abraka-Eku-Amukpe road project, the massive transformation ongoing at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), the Ajaokuta-Agbor-Aladja Rail Project are all commendable but we urged the APC-led Federal Government to re-doubled its efforts to ensure that more visible, infrastructural facilities are located
within the land space of the Niger Delta”.
